Two Talks I Delivered In Sacrament: What Are You Willing to Give for Truth?; The Vision I Received of Taiwan’s Future

china-developing-non-nuclear-emp-weapons

I’ve been meaning to post these sacrament talks for a while now. The first one I delivered on April 19th, 2015; the second just last month on January 22nd, 2017. I delivered them to my ward in Taiwan in English, with a member translating in Chinese. I provided the text to the member a few days beforehand, so he could prepare a translation for it. The talks were spaced so that I would say each short paragraph in English, then allow the translation to the membership in Chinese.

I don’t think I’ll be asked to give any more talks after this most recent one.

Here is the text of my April 2015 talk:

I wish to thank the bishopric for giving me the opportunity to speak in Sacrament meeting today.

Usually, I don’t write out talks. I ponder and pray about a subject and then make some notes and follow the Spirit when I give my talk.

However, because my Chinese is not good enough, I have written my talk out completely, and ****** has volunteered to help translate it for me.

I wish to talk today about truth. My question to everyone today is this: what do you really really know is true?

How strong is your conviction of this truth in your heart? How much are you willing to sacrifice to defend that truth?

Are you willing to die for this truth?

Actually, dying is a little bit easy. Maybe you suffer for a few hours, and then you’re gone.

Are you willing to NOT die, but instead sacrifice other things? Would you cut off your arm or both arms?

Would you give away all your money, your house, your possessions?

Would you be willing to watch your loved ones be tortured or killed horribly rather than deny the truth you know?

I’m sorry to even talk about such terrible things. It’s not the kinds of things we like to talk about at Church.

However, these are EXACTLY the kinds of things that both the New Testament and The Book of Mormon wish for us to consider. To look deep into our souls and ask these very terrible questions.

For what are you willing to sacrifice? To be tortured and maimed for? To be killed for?

What truth is SO important to defend, that you will give up everything, go through any experience, to not deny it?

I really want you to think about this for a moment, deep in your hearts. What truth is most important above all other truths?

What testimony do we need to have above all other testimonies?

Is it that “This Church is true”, or that “The Book of Mormon” is true? Is it that “Joseph Smith was a prophet called of God”, or that “there’s a living prophet in Salt Lake today”?

Will these truths save you? Will a testimony of these truths ultimately save you?

There is only one truth, one testimony, that matters above all others….

Jesus Christ is the Son of God, the Savior of the world.

That is the ONLY truth that will save us in the end. All other truths, all other testimonies, don’t mean ANYTHING… unless THAT truth, THAT testimony, is planted firmly in our souls.

No other truth will save us…. Joseph Smith, the Book of Mormon, the Bible, President Monson, the Church —- none of these people or entities have any power to redeem us, ONLY our testimony of Christ and our faith and trust in HIM.

The reason I’m focusing on this so intensely is because there has been a disturbing trend in the LDS Church over the past 20 years.

This trend has been to place more focus on: the Book of Mormon being true, Joseph Smith being a prophet, the President of the Church being a prophet, getting people to join the Church, and the Church organization itself being inspired.

Over the past 20 years, LDS members have pulled their focus away from seeking to establish a personal relationship with their Savior, Jesus Christ. They have become very complacent in seeking Christ, in developing a one-on-one relationship with Him, to read His words in the scriptures, and in seeking deeper meanings in the scriptures.

They rely almost completely upon Sunday School lessons and light reading of the scriptures. They don’t “make friends” with the scriptures. They don’t seek to know the Bible and Book of Mormon prophets as REAL PEOPLE — as fellow believers in Christ in old times.

They tend to think “Oh, they were prophets. They are so much better to me. I can never be that good. I can never be as spiritual as they were.”

THAT – IS – A – LIE! If you ever think that, you are lying to yourself! They were real people, with many personal faults — just like you and me!

Some of them made BIG mistakes!

There are many examples, but I’ll highlight just one: Moses. Moses killed an Egyptian master who was whipping a slave. He murdered a man — but unlike Nephi killing Laban, or David killing Goliath, Moses killed this bad man without seeking God’s approval first.

Later, he went up Mount Sinai and talked with Christ face-to-face. Christ used his finger to write the Law on stone tablets and gave them to Moses. When Moses went down the mountain, and saw the Israelites creating a golden calf to worship, he was so angry he threw down the stone tablets, breaking them to pieces.

Can you imagine that? God himself hands you stone tablets, written with His own finger, and two hours later you get so angry that you throw them down and break them?

The scriptures demonstrate in many places that the people chosen as prophets throughout history had numerous personal flaws.

But they were chosen NOT because they are better than us, but because of their great faith and trust in God. And because God knew that they needed the experience of being a prophet for their eternal development.

Never ever think, for one minute, that ANYONE in the scriptures, or even in the leadership of the Church today, is in ANY way better than you, or is somehow more spiritual than you.

We are ALL equal in the eyes of God. The only thing that makes any of us “different” is in how willing are we to seek Christ

What are we doing to get to know Him better? How are we changing to show Him that we really want to be just like Him? Are we doing this actively ourselves, or are we just relying on the Church to do all our work for us?

When we read Moroni Chapter 10 verse 4, do we bother to really think about verse 5 too?

Verse 4: “And when ye shall receive these things, I would exhort you that ye would ask God, the Eternal Father, in the name of Christ, if these things are not true; and if ye shall ask with a sincere heart, with real intent, having faith in Christ, he will manifest the truth of it unto you, by the power of the Holy Ghost.”

Yeah, we read that scripture a lot. Moroni is asking us read 1000 years of spiritual records that his father conveniently compiled for us, and then ask God and get a testimony of it.

But then what does he encourage in verse 5?

Verse 5: “And by the power of the Holy Ghost ye may know the truth of all things.”

ALL THINGS. THE TRUTH OF ALL THINGS.

We have a foundational testimony of Christ. Excellent. Nothing else matters unless we have that. Then we put Moroni’s words to the test and get additional testimonies of truths. The Book of Mormon, Joseph Smith, etc. Wonderful!

But then, do we just stop there? Is that all the truth there is to be confirmed from God? Is there nothing else out there we need to seek the truth about?

Do we let others do our searching and thinking for us? Do we just accept what we hear from those we trust and not deeply ask God to confirm such things to us?

Are we really able to trust ANYONE 100% besides Christ and the Holy Ghost?

We can trust the Church, right? The Church is led by inspiration, right? We can trust the First Presidency and 12 Apostles, right?

Let me ask you a question: If, one day, the First Presidency and all 12 of the apostles stood up in General Conference and said, “Sorry, the Church isn’t really led by Christ. There is no God, and there was never any person called Jesus Christ. The Bible is just a fairy tale to give everyone unrealistic hope. Joseph Smith and the Book of Mormon aren’t true, either. We were just fooling you because it provided us a very comfortable, prestigious life at the expense of your tithing money. And we loved how much you honored us and thought we were so close to God, and more special than you.”

Of course, that would never happen. But what if something similar really happened — maybe only one or two of the leaders, not all of them. Still, how much would it affect your personal testimony of Jesus Christ?

Would you be confused and doubtful inside? Would you start questioning your own testimony of Christ? Of the Bible? The Book of Mormon? Joseph Smith’s work and prophetic mission?

Seriously, consider this thought: How much does your testimony of Jesus Christ rely upon the testimony and spiritual strength of our modern Church leaders?

How much SHOULD your testimony of Christ, or of ANYTHING, rely on them?

Are you placing YOUR OWN responsibility for seeking truth on THEIR shoulders?

Are you placing your responsibility of personal scripture study, pondering, and seeking answers on the shoulders of your Sunday School teachers?

Sunday School teachers, are you relying only on Church materials for your lessons? Or do you ponder and deeply pray about what you will present in class?

I stand before you today, and I testify to you this: It is NOT OK to place your trust in man, ANY man, unless you get a direct, clear answer from the Holy Ghost that what that person says, or what he is teaching, or what he wants you to do is approved of God.

We, LDS members, have become the most spoiled, un-thinking people of God in history. In ancient times, there was no structure of leadership to rely so much on. Even during the time of the ancient Church and the original 12 apostles.

Someone would come and say he is a prophet, and the only way you could know if he were telling the truth or not was by carefully examining him and his message, and then praying sincerely for confirmation from God that he was truly sent by God.

That’s what the American Christians in Joseph Smith’s time had to do. Here came this uneducated, not-professional, good-hearted young man who said “God and Jesus Christ appeared to me. I have a work to do. I have an ancient record to translate. I must restore the truth that has been lost.”

Today, we take everything for granted. We say: “Church leaders are called by inspiration! We can trust them because this Church is led by Christ, and He won’t let His Church be led astray! There’s no way someone with bad intentions can be called to be a leader!”

However, I have very very bad news for anyone who thinks this is true. In fact, I only need to say three words to prove to you that this is not true:

Jesus – chose – Judas.

Jesus HIMSELF selected Judas Iscariot to be one of the original 12 apostles. Christ had THOUSANDS of loyal, eager followers by the time he called His apostles. So, why would He choose Judas Iscariot?

Why would He select him if He knew that Judas was a fake believer from the beginning? That he was secretly providing information about Christ to the Jewish leaders and helping them plan for Christ’s destruction?

Did any of the other apostles suspect Judas was a phony? Did any of them say at the Last Supper: “Oh, Master — I know who the betrayer is! It’s that two-faced snake-in-the-grass Judas Iscariot! Yeah, I knew he was a phony from the start!”

No! Every single one of them was SHOCKED that any member of the 12 would betray Christ. And they were all equally shocked that it turned out to be Judas Iscariot.

Think about that for a moment — one of the most deceitful, horrible betrayers in history was hand-picked by Christ to be one of the original 12 apostles.

If Christ Himself felt it important to purposefully choose a wolf in sheep’s clothing to be one of His twelve apostles, what makes you think that there cannot be not ANY wolves in the leadership of the Church today — EVEN IF every single leadership calling for over 180 years has been confirmed by the Holy Ghost?

Why would Christ warn us many times about “wolves in sheep’s clothing” for no purpose?

What about The Book of Mormon’s many MANY warnings, directly to us in the last days, about secret combinations? Is this a meaningless warning?

Have you ever read Chapter 8 of the Book of Ether and discovered the 11th commandment that the Lord has given us?

We know all about the 10 commandments: don’t kill, don’t steal, honor your father and mother, keep the Sabbath day holy, etc.

What about the 11th commandment? It’s right there in the Book of Ether, Chapter 8.

I won’t tell you what it is. I challenge everyone listening to my voice right now: go home today and read that entire chapter. Find that commandment, and deeply pray about it. Ponder and pray about what Moroni is talking about in that chapter. Why is he warning us — the LDS in the last days — so strongly?

One thing I must say: I am very sad that the Book of Mormon Sunday School manual completely ignores this whole chapter. Completely skips it.

From the time that Christ was resurrected, to the time where the Gospel truth had become so corrupted and watered down that the Priesthood was removed was less than 300 years.

Less than 300 years after Christ was resurrected, the Roman Emperor Constantine met with dozens of Bishops in Nicea, and established The Roman Catholic Church. And the Emperor became its first leader — the first Catholic Pope.

Was this a good thing? Was this what Christ wanted? The Catholics certainly don’t bother to question their Church leaders at the Vatican about it. They don’t seek truth from the Holy Ghost about these matters. If they did, they’d probably be sitting here in Church with us today.

How does Christ feel about the creeds those people established in Nicea at that time? He told Joseph Smith in the grove: “Their creeds are an abomination. They teach for doctrines the commandments of men.”

How long has it been since Joseph Smith’s first vision? Since the official establishment of the LDS Church?

Almost 200 years now.

Through Joseph Smith, in the Doctrine and Covenants, the Lord has promised us that He will never take the Priesthood from the earth again.

That is a very comforting promise. It means that things cannot get as corrupt as they did at the time of the formation of the Roman Catholic Church.

However, the promise is about Priesthood power and responsibility — not “The Church.”

I don’t have time today to fully explain this, but it is very important to consider and pray about: The Church is NOT the Kingdom of God on earth.

It is only of THIS world: a legal organization that God has approved of to carry out His work in the last days. To teach the restored Gospel, to establish temples, to prepare followers of Christ for Christ’s return to the earth.

It is very possible that wolves within Church leadership can corrupt some things and cause the members to err in their thinking and spirituality — but ultimately, Christ has promised to first destroy them and cleanse the Church before He destroys anything else wicked in the last days.

How do I know this? It’s right there in Doctrine and Covenants 112, verses 23 to 26:

“23 Verily, verily, I say unto you, darkness covereth the earth, and gross darkness the minds of the people, and all flesh has become corrupt before my face.

24 Behold, vengeance cometh speedily upon the inhabitants of the earth, a day of wrath, a day of burning, a day of desolation, of weeping, of mourning, and of lamentation; and as a whirlwind it shall come upon all the face of the earth, saith the Lord.

25 And upon my house shall it begin, and from my house shall it go forth, saith the Lord;

26 First among those among you, saith the Lord, who have professed to know my name and have not known me, and have blasphemed against me in the midst of my house, saith the Lord.”

He will first destroy “His house” before he starts dealing out the destruction of the wicked around the world. Just as the Lord admonishes us to take care of our own homes first, He will cleanse His house first, too.

If, one day, Salt Lake City has a huge earthquake, massive destruction, and many people die, including many Church leaders — you will know that the Lord’s words of D&C 112 are being fulfilled.

The Lord will have killed off the wolves in the Church — just as in 3Nephi chapters 8, 9, and 10, he killed off all the wicked among the Nephites before He appeared to them. And there wasn’t a whole lot of Nephites left after the destruction.

What will happen to your testimony if Salt Lake City is mostly destroyed and many Church leaders are dead — even in the First Presidency and 12 apostles? I hope you are prepared in your mind and heart for something like that. Because God has already told us it will happen.

I have asked hard questions today. I really hope you will take the time to ponder them.

Your testimony of Christ needs to be an unshakeable foundation of everything else — absolutely unshakeable.

How can our testimonies of Christ be that sure, that solid? We need to individually and personally seek Christ. We need to firmly establish a personal relationship with Him. Truly seek Him.

We need to really talk to Him when we pray. We need to know we are talking to our older brother — the most perfectly loving, non-judgmental big brother we can imagine.

We don’t need to talk to Him like he is some giant, heavenly boss that we need to give reports to, or be worried about approaching. All He asks is our humility and sincere repentance.

[I then shared my testimony.]

I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

I was able to give this entire talk, with only a couple repetitive sentences skipped. Even so, my time allotted went over.

I was expecting to be questioned and reprimanded for this talk. In America, I probably would have been. But in Taiwan, the vast general membership and local-level leaders have very rudimentary Gospel insight, and essentially treat any American members with even somewhat-advanced Gospel scholarship to be more knowledgeable than themselves. Even the bishop and stake president of the city I live in put me on a insight-pedestal. Therefore, they actually really listened to my talk and were deeply somber afterwards. The stake president sincerely thanked me for it after the meeting; if he took any issue with any part of it, he never expressed it then or afterwards.

Here is the text of the talk I gave on January 22nd, 2017. As before, each short paragraph represents where I would pause to allow for translation.

Within the text, I will elaborate upon what happened as I gave it.

I wish to thank the bishop for giving me this chance to speak in sacrament today. I am always grateful to have the chance to serve the ward however I can.

I usually don’t write my talks, because I am a firm believer in what God says in D&C 100:5-6 – “… speak the thoughts that I shall put into your hearts… For it shall be given you in the very hour, yea, in the very moment, what ye shall say.”

However, because my Chinese is not good enough to say all that I need to say, I have pre-written my talk and have asked ******* [a different member than the previous talk] to translate for me.

I wish to let everyone know that what I am going to talk about today has come to me directly from the Holy Spirit. What I share today has come directly from God.

I ask that you all pay special attention to what I am going to share with you, because it wasn’t my idea of what to talk about. I wanted to talk about other things.

However, several times since I received this assignment to talk, God has strongly impressed upon me that I must share with all of you one of the most sacred experiences of my life.

I have not shared this with many people, and I don’t enjoy sharing this, but it is God’s desire that I do so today. Therefore, I obey.

Once again, it is a new year, both with the solar calendar and the lunar calendar. We are now in the solar year 2017, will soon celebrate a restart of the lunar cycle.

God has impressed upon me that I must share with all of you the vision that I received eight years ago.

I want you to understand that I cannot share everything of my vision with you – there are some things about it that I must not describe. However, everything that is important for all of you to know about I will share.

On December 5th, 2008, God showed me a vision of Taiwan’s future.

I’ve had a few small visions in my life, but I’ve never experienced a vision as powerful as this one before or since.

And I certainly wasn’t expecting any vision when I received it.

On December 5th, in the early evening, I was going about my regular routine. I had just finished eating a quick dinner, and I had about 30 minutes before I needed to leave to teach evening English classes at a cram school.

As usual, I would lie down and rest on my bed for about 20 minutes before leaving.

That evening, the very moment my head touched the pillow, I was put into a vision. Immediately, I was not at home, not in my bed – I was near AnPing harbor.

I immediately realized four things:

(1) the time was years in the future.

(2) A few months prior to this moment in time, China had unleashed a horrible biological weapon on Taiwan: a very deadly, contagious virus.

It was a terrible epidemic, and the people of Taiwan were still in shock and horror from all the loss. It ended up killing between 15 to 20% of the population.

(3) About two weeks prior to this moment in time – just as the virus was dying down and people were no longer suffering from it – all of the electricity throughout Taiwan stopped. Completely stopped.

For two weeks, there was no electricity anywhere on the entire island. Computers, cell phones, lights, trains, cars, scooters – all things that depend on electricity were completely useless.

That also included water pumps to bring water into homes, and to be purified enough to be healthy to drink.

I knew that the reason there was no electricity was because China had detonated over 100 small EMP bombs above Taiwan. An EMP bomb does not explode and destroy things – it sends out tremendous electrical/magnetic waves that stops all electricity and destroys electrical circuits.

China had covered Taiwan’s skies with these bombs two weeks before this day that I saw in my vision. The people of Taiwan were still suffering from the epidemic, and then with no more electricity, society was completely failing.

Everywhere was a mess. People were going crazy with thirst, hunger, and despair. Many people wanted to give up and just die. It was hell.

(4) On top of all this, I knew immediately that China’s war ships, filled with tens-of-thousands of soldiers, were on their way to Taiwan. I knew that they were now half-way to reaching Taiwan’s shores, and that they were planning to land at Tainan’s harbor.

I don’t know how I knew about the ships coming, but I wasn’t the only one who knew. Everyone in the area was talking about them coming; everyone seemed to know they were coming.

Everyone was crazy with fear and despair. Many prayed to whatever gods they believed in, begging for help.

This was the beginning of my vision. This is the moment my vision started. One minute, I went to lie down on my bed – the next second, I am here, at this time in the future. And I have all this knowledge of the four things I just mentioned.

At this point in my talk, the bishop placed a small piece of paper on the pulpit. In Chinese it said: “Thank you for your talk. Time is up.” I didn’t need it translated, I recognized the Chinese characters and what they meant.

I continued the talk anyway.

Immediately, I got on my knees and started begging God for divine intervention. I begged Him to preserve the people of Taiwan, to stop the Chinese armies from coming. I wept and pleaded with God.

After some minutes, something happened that is more miraculous than anything recorded in the scriptures.

A light began to appear above AnPing harbor. A brilliant, holy light.

Gradually, it became brighter and brighter, and it rose up high into the sky.

As it rose up, a pair of glorious wings began to grow out the sides of the light, and a bright beam shone below the light.

The wings looked like they were made out of light, and they looked like massive eagle wings.

The light ascended until it was about two kilometers high, and then stopped. The wings were outstretched and absolutely glorious to look at.

At this point in my vision, I could see from several perspectives. I could see what was happening from many different places.

I could see from my own perspective, but I could also see that everyone in Taiwan could now see this light, from the most distant parts north or south, and even over the mountains in the east. Everyone in Taiwan was staring at this glorious light shining above Taiwan that looked like an eagle.

As people all over the island looked upon it, it caused their despair and terror and sorrow to stop. It planted seeds of hope in them.

The light stayed there for a few minutes, just shining gloriously, letting everyone on the entire island to stare quietly in wonder.

I could also see from the perspective of the light, looking down on the waters between China and Taiwan.

I could see dozens of warships sailing in a somewhat-tight formation, heading towards AnPing harbor. Four rows of many ships a little more than half-way across the water.

Then, what I saw next is hard to describe.

There was a tremendous clap of sound that came from the light. It seemed to be aimed at the water, but it echoed everywhere, and was heard everywhere in Taiwan.

Immediately after the clap sound came forth, the water below the warships fell.

It’s hard to describe what it looked like. But imagine this: imagine a room with lots of long, rectangular, blue tables next to each other.

Now imagine that dozens of small toy boats were lined up in four rows on one of the tables.

Now, imagine that the table with all the boats on it suddenly fell straight down – as if the table’s legs disappeared instantly. That’s exactly what it looked like happened to the water below the ships.

A huge rectangle of water just fell down instantly, taking all the boats down with it.

As the of water fell and disappeared into darkness, water poured into the rectangular hole from all four sides.

This continued for about one minute – a massive rectangular hole in the water, and water pouring into it like a giant four-sided waterfall.

Then, suddenly, the water level rose up again. And all the water calmed down. And the China warships were gone. Completely gone.

At this point, I stopped. I could sense the bishop becoming very irritated that I wasn’t wrapping up — he couldn’t give the slightest care about the content of my talk. I don’t even think he was listening. There were about 15 minutes left of sacrament meeting, and there was one more person scheduled to talk.

Also, I sensed that most of the ward members were pretty much tuned out as well. I could definitely feel a handful listening very intently, and anticipating more. However, about 80%+ of the ward members’ minds were elsewhere.

I stood there silently. My body was quivering throughout the talk, but at this point I was shaking a lot, and I started crying. I just stood there looking at the members.

It was the extended silence, and then their sudden awareness that I was glaring at them — with tears running down my face — that got their attention back.

When I spoke again, I would pause now and then to allow the translator to translate.

“You’re not ready for this. I didn’t want to share any of this. I don’t know why God wanted me to tell you all of this! I didn’t want to! I just wanted to talk about things anyone could talk about!

“Everyone who has a testimony of Christ will be extremely important in that day! If you don’t have a personal relationship with Christ already, you better develop one right away!

“I won’t continue — you’re not ready for this.”

And I left.

I didn’t close in Christ’s name. I didn’t say Amen. I walked down from the podium, and walked straight out the door of the chapel.

I went outside to get on my scooter to go straight home (my son didn’t come with me that day), but it was then that I realized that I had left my jacket on the pew in the podium area, and my keys were in the pocket.

So I went back inside and found an empty classroom, closed the door, and fought back tears and feelings of frustration.

Below is the remainder of the talk, which I did not get to deliver in sacrament. Afterwards, I will discuss the aftermath of this talk.

Gradually, the wings began to retract into the light, and it started to fade. Slowly it completely disappeared.

At this moment, I knew something important. I knew that not all the soldiers on the ships had died. About 5% of them miraculously survived. God had preserved them and not drowned them.

I knew that they were completely terrified, and would soon swim towards AnPing harbor.

There are a few reasons why they would swim here and not back to China:

(1) they were more afraid of going back to China and being punished by their leaders than just coming to Taiwan.

(2) They wanted to surrender to the Taiwan people and beg for mercy and forgiveness for the things that had happened recently to Taiwan.

(3) They were afraid the light would return and kill them if they didn’t.

I somehow knew that these soldiers were on their way, so I started telling people nearby me about them, and that we need to not hurt them. We must all show mercy to them, and treat them well.

I told people that these soldiers were preserved by God because their hearts were not murderous. They were forced to do this mission by their leaders, and that that they will confess about their mission.

Their mission was to come to Taiwan and completely kill everyone who was still alive on the island. Their instructions were to not leave anyone alive – everyone, EVERYONE, on Taiwan must die.

The goal of China was to wipe out everyone in Taiwan, and then spend the next few years developing the island into a massive garden paradise for the elite of China.

Their plan was to develop the land into farms and orchards everywhere. This is why they used biological weapons and EMPs to kill as many humans as possible, and not explosive bombs that would harm Taiwan’s ecology, atmosphere and agriculture.

Their plan was to convert Taiwan into a paradise for the elite of China, and kill off all the Taiwanese in the process.

But God won’t let that happen. God won’t let the people of Taiwan be wiped out.

And then, as sudden as it had begun, my vision ended.

I was back in my room, lying on my bed. Only 20 minutes had gone by.

I was stunned and confused. I knew it wasn’t a dream. It was perfectly real.

I had only been in Taiwan four months when I received this vision. I could barely understand or speak Chinese back then.

I spent many days pondering and praying about the vision. Even though it was such an incredible future miracle that I witnessed, I was very upset by what I had seen.

There’s much more I can discuss, but I wish to focus on the important things about this vision, and why the Holy Ghost wants me to share it with all of you today.

This vision was given to me because the Lord needed to prepare my mind and heart for the work that will be required of me after this miracle happens. Everything about life as we know it will change after this day comes. Everything.

However, I am not alone. EVERYONE who has faith in Christ will be needed to help do the work.

The entire island of Taiwan will begin to know the power of God that day. And they will quickly come to understand that Jesus Christ is the son of God.

Everyone who already has a testimony of Christ will be the most valuable people on the island, because everyone will beg them to teach them about the Gospel.

Everyone will seek miracles from Christians who have the faith in God to ask for them, and receive them. Healing the sick and injured, and making food and water multiply and even appearing out of nowhere. Even raising the dead, just as Christ did, will happen.

Christ fed thousands of people two times. Once He did it with 5 small loaves of bread and 2 fishes. The other time He did it, the food just appeared. And thousands of people ate until they were full.

In Moses’s time, the people were extremely thirsty, and Moses hit a rock wall with his staff and fresh water started pouring out of it to satisfy everyone’s thirst. And don’t forget that the Israelites were fed in the desert every single day by manna falling from the sky.

We will see miracles every single day. We need to spiritually prepare our hearts and minds for the kinds of miracles we read about in the scriptures, but have a hard time believing could actually happen.

They WILL happen. But we can only help to make them happen if we truly have faith in God that they can happen, and our souls are pure enough, and we are repentant enough, to be worthy to perform these miracles.

I asked God many times why doesn’t the scriptures talk about this happening in Taiwan, and eventually around all of Asia.

One day I was led to D&C 90, verses 10-11:

“10 And then cometh the day when the arm of the Lord shall be revealed in power in convincing the nations, the heathen nations, the house of Joseph, of the gospel of their salvation.

11 For it shall come to pass in that day, that every man shall hear the fulness of the gospel in his own tongue, and in his own language, through those who are ordained unto this power, by the administration of the Comforter, shed forth upon them for the revelation of Jesus Christ.”

In the Church, we usually think these scriptures are talking about the missionary program. But it’s not. It’s talking about a time in the future that hasn’t happened yet.

In the ancient times, the Israelites knew Jehovah – they had miracles given and Jesus Christ came to the Jews. They have had these records for thousands of years.

After Christ was resurrected, the Gentiles (meaning the people of Europe and America) were given to know Christ, to have miracles, to believe in Him, to have records that teach of Him.

But what about the rest of the world? What about Asia, Africa, India, and much of Russia? These are the “heathen” nations. They have had thousands of years of Hinduism, Buddhism, and many other gods. Why should they believe in Christ? Their ancestors have no experience with Him.

That is exactly what these two verses are prophesying about: in these last days, it will be these nations that will have the chance to know Christ personally. To have their own prophets chosen of God, to experience His miracles, and to understand why they need to worship Him.

I asked God if there’s anywhere else in the scriptures that prophesies of this. The answer I received was: not in any scriptures you are aware of. I suspect He means that the sealed portion of the Book of Mormon golden plates talks about it, or other scriptural records we don’t have yet.

The miracle that I witnessed in my vision will be the beginning of not only Taiwan, but all of Asia beginning to REALLY KNOW JESUS CHRIST.

Taiwan will be the starting point. Life will completely change here. And then the Gospel will be unstoppable. The knowledge and miracles of Christ will spread everywhere.

It will flow from Taiwan to the rest of Asia.

This is the future suffering, and the future destiny, of the people of Taiwan.

I testify to you that I know these things will come to pass. I have seen the starting point. And I have seen pieces of the future beyond that in small visions since that day.

You will all be a part of it, if your testimony in Christ does not falter.

I have no idea when all this will actually happen. I don’t know if it will be this year, or ten years from now.

However, the Holy Ghost has never prompted me to share this vision with anyone before. I have only shared it with close friends and some of my family. Most of my own family doesn’t know this vision.

And I know that international relationships between China and America will probably become awful very soon. China hates Trump, because Trump is very serious about bringing manufacturing jobs back to America, and shutting down American factories in China.

Also, he is supportive of Taiwan’s independence. You probably heard the news that he has took a call from Tsai Ying Wen only days after his election. He doesn’t seem to care if China gets angry about things like this.

I suspect that if America gets into a very serious war in the Middle East, America will dedicate almost all of its naval forces out there. This will leave Taiwan very vulnerable, because America will not be able to help defend Taiwan if China decides to come here.

Also, ever since my vision, I have read many reports about China’s huge increases in military technology and biological weapons.

Just two years ago, I read about how China had successfully developed the technology for mini-EMP bombs, and they are manufacturing thousands of them.

Here’s a section of an article about these bombs, posted on May 7th, 2014:

“The report further states “For use against Taiwan, China could detonate at a much lower altitude (30 to 40 kilometers) … to confine the EMP effects to Taiwan and its immediate vicinity and minimize damage to electronics on [China’s] mainland.”

“The once labeled “top secret ” report, revealed that Chinese military writings have emphasized the importance of building low-yield EMP warheads. The report said that future Chinese EMP weapons should emphasize developing “any low-yield strategic nuclear warhead (or tactical nuclear warheads) could be used with similar effects. The DF-21 medium-range ballistic missile was prominently mentioned as a platform for the EMP attack against a country such as Taiwan”….”

These are exactly the kind of bombs that kills electricity and electronic devices that I knew China had exploded all over Taiwan in my vision.

The time to prepare yourself is NOW. I am ready for this. I have been ready for a few years now. Pray and ask God about what I’ve shared today. Ask Him if my words are true and reliable. And then ask Him what you can do to prepare. Ask Him what His will is for you.

Most of the time, answers do not come immediately. Repent. Humble yourself. If you have wronged others, go to them and ask them for forgiveness. Make it right with them.

God cannot use self-determined servants. He cannot guide someone who wants to live their life however they want. He needs servants who are willing to surrender their desires to His will.

I pray all of us have the strength and bravery to face these coming challenges. It will be horrible for a time, but then we will witness miracles greater than any recorded in scripture.

We will be instrumental in bringing the Gospel to not only all of Taiwan, but throughout Asia.

I feel so privileged to have seen this future, and to eventually be a part of it. I don’t feel I’m good enough. I’ve spent years asking God “Why me?”

His response has always been: “Why not you? You hear My voice and follow my Spirit. You love the people of Asia. I know I can trust you to do My will.”

I have struggled for many years with this knowledge of what is coming. Now it is your turn to prepare yourself for it.

I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

After Church ended, and most members filtered out of the chapel, I quietly went back and retrieved my jacket.

On my way out of the chapel, I encountered a handful of members talking to the guy who helped me translate. They called me over and thanked me profusely — expressed that they were listening the whole time, very intrigued and amazed. They wanted me to tell them the rest of the vision. I thanked them and told them that they’re welcome to get a copy of the Chinese transcription from the member who translated my talk for me. They expressed to me that they understood why I got upset and left, and that they were shocked that so many ward members were not listening to what I was saying.

The member who translated for me then told me that one very quiet, humble member was crying throughout my entire talk. This man approached him afterwards, and told him “I’ve seen the same as him. I’ve seen this future, too. I thought I was the only one.”

This really blew the translating-member’s mind. He expressed to me that when he first read my talk, he was really doubtful of what I was talking about; but then this very sweet, quiet member came up to him, crying, and telling him he’d seen this future, too. He told me he’s going to take what I shared very seriously, and ponder and pray about it more.

I’m planning to meet up with the translating-member and this humble member soon. (I’ve seen him around, but I’m not acquainted with him, yet.) My talk was on the last Sunday just prior to the start of Chinese New Year, so for the past few Sundays I haven’t attended church — lots of traveling and visiting my wife’s family. I hope to meet up with these two members soon, and have a nice long discussion with them.

In the meantime, I need to get these sacrament talks posted.

For the record, I have several more things I wish to write about on this blog. I have three half-finished articles I’m working on wrapping up ASAP, and many other topics I want to cover.

Please continue to be patient with me.

  1. Christian,
The spirit lead me to read your talks tonight. I have given, what I thought were, bold talks in church with a similar message. However, I was just rebuked by the spirit for not being as bold and plain as you were. If the Lord gives me another opportunity, I will not make the same mistake. Even at the expense of being released from my callings and even my membership. I love you brother.

    • Thank you, brother! I must confess, though: living in Asia, the repercussions of being bold in this manner aren’t as sharply felt as in America, especially Utah.

I’ve had a few intense moments — once in Utah, twice in Florida — where all I was doing was venturing to openly discuss Ezra Taft Benson’s words from “I Testify” concerning secret societies, and the backlash was instantaneous and harsh. I related a couple of those experiences in one of the journal entries I included in Volume II.

God bless you and be with you in the moment you’re prompted to be bold and plain. All things for Christ, my brother! Thanks again!

  2. The divine intervention you describe reminds me of the occasion in 1746 when American colonists came together fasting and praying for deliverance from the coming French fleet whose intent was, as Henry Wadsworth Longfellow wrote in ‘A Ballad of the French Fleet’, “to ravage with fire and steel.” The result? The miraculous destruction of the fleet through storms and pestilence…

  3. I’ve enjoyed your books and articles, I’m hoping you will post again soon. One question I have is how the Taiwanese connected this miracle with Christ? What happened that pointed them in that direction?

    • Thank you for asking this. Sometimes I deliberately don’t give further details about something unless others show that they want to know/understand more. The first thing to answer your question is this: it is not Christ, Himself, that performs this miracle. I was shown who it was. This servant won’t ascend into heaven after performing this miracle. Instead he will descend and stay among the people of Taiwan, and teach them the Gospel. Eventually, it will be up to the (relatively few) already-Christian populace — whose faith in Christ is powerfully vindicated by this event — to immediately shed their denominational differences and unite in fully-explained/corrected Gospel principles, and go forth around the island converting the populace, performing all the same miracles that Christ and the apostles did. Thousands of convert-witnesses will join them.

Recently, as in the past few months, the Holy Spirit has strongly prompted (more like insisted) that I visit every Christian denomination in the area (that has an English-speaking group, because my Chinese isn’t good enough to explain this vision in Chinese) and share this vision with any who would be willing to listen to it. The primary message is that: all who call themselves “Christian” need to fortify their personal relationship with Jesus Christ — to completely repent and forge their hearts to Him — so that when the horrible events happen, their hearts will not fail them, their faith will not be shaken. After the miracle happens, any who had retained their faith in Christ throughout, and had not faltered, will be thronged / swarmed / mobbed by hundreds / thousands of people begging to know anything and everything about Christ, and to be healed and have loved ones raised from the dead. Only those prepared well enough in advance will have the faith necessary to perform such miracles and be entrusted enough to go forth and teach the masses.

Hope this answers your question. I have not seen these follow-up events in detail — they have gradually been communicated to me, or shown to me in “vision-snippets”,

      • Thank you for posting the response. I keep meaning to return to this article to reply for over a month but I wanted to say thanks as this little bit of detail gives me a better picture of what the One Who is Mighty and Strong will be doing.
BTW, now that Nelson is president, have you considered sharing the essence of your message to him?

  4. Sorry to respond so late to your comment. I need to be more active and start posting on my blog more often.

One thing I want to note: “the One Who is Mighty and Strong” that is referred to in scripture will not be the one doing these things in Asia. I’m pretty sure that his work will be focused in the west. And it’s important to note that the vast majority of prophecy in Christian and Israeli canon scripture is all but regionalized to areas that we now call the Middle East, Europe, and North America. Prophecy concerning most of the continent of Asia (and the mid-to-lower portions of Africa) is conspicuously absent from these canon scriptures.

As I mentioned in the blog post, I’ve prayed a lot about the things I have been shown, especially for scriptural prophecy/backing/precedent/understanding — and unfortunately, D&C 90 is the only reference within LDS canon scripture about the near-future work to be done throughout Asia. There’s probably legends and/or prophecy about it somewhere buried within Eastern-religious texts, but I haven’t gone searching for such (although I probably should).

In what limited searching I have done, the Spirit communicated to me that there’s merit to the “Seven Lucky Gods” in Japanese mythology: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Seven_Lucky_Gods …. that, essentially, some of the servants that will be performing the necessary work throughout Asia will be considered physical manifestations of these seven mythological gods — and traditional mythologies such as these will actually work in tremendous favor of the rapid spread of the Gospel.
